Hi! I'm Vladyslav — an iOS engineer with 12+ years of experience, most of it on systems where a dropped frame is a product problem rather than a polish problem: real-time fintech, BLE hardware and wearables, live video streaming. I'm currently Senior iOS Engineer at TabTrader BV, a crypto trading terminal used by over 500 000 people, where I built the app's charting engine from scratch in Core Graphics.
In parallel I'm co-founder and CTO of Your Accessible Flight, an AI-powered platform helping people with disabilities travel barrier-free. I own the full stack there — the iOS app, the Android app in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, and a Go backend replacing our original Firebase setup — and both apps ship with full accessibility support, which for our users is a correctness requirement rather than a compliance checkbox.
What I'm good at: performance — Core Graphics, custom rendering, Instruments profiling, and the discipline of finding out why something is slow instead of guessing. Hardware — BLE stacks for wearables, cameras and automotive diagnostics. Architecture at scale — MVVM, Clean Architecture, SPM modularization, and migrating large legacy codebases without stopping feature delivery. And leading engineers: mentoring, code review, and establishing CI/CD and release processes from nothing.
Outside of engineering I'm a lifelong musician — I sing and play piano and guitar — and I follow AI and robotics closely enough that it keeps leaking into my side projects.

CTO & R&D
Your Accessible Flight
Co-founded the company and own every technical, architectural and product decision in a 4-person founding team, from ideation through MVP to beta launch. Personally built and maintain the full stack across three codebases: the iOS app (Swift, SwiftUI, Liquid Glass), the Android app (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose), and a Go backend replacing our original Firebase setup for scalability, privacy and cost control. Shipped full accessibility support in both apps — VoiceOver, TalkBack, dynamic type. Launched an AI chat assistant using RAG for context-aware travel guidance, and built a B2B product alongside the consumer app. Supervised RMIT student teams, secured EU-country grant funding and won multiple startup and innovation contests.

Senior iOS Engineer
TabTrader BV
Architect and maintain the app's custom charting and plotting engine, built from scratch in Core Graphics — candles, tick charts and depth render smoothly on devices several generations old, and the engine's structure keeps new chart types cheap to add. Own the flagship real-time trading interface end to end: orderbook, candles, positions and user data synced at 100–250ms intervals under sustained load, with crash-free sessions on these core screens at 99.8%. Drive the ongoing migration of a legacy UIKit codebase to SwiftUI and Combine — more than 50% is now modular, declarative components, with App Store rating climbing to 4.7/5. Hold roughly 50% code ownership, review PRs and mentor developers.
Sep 2018 — Aug 2019
Lead iOS Engineer
AURA Band
Architected and built the iOS companion app for a bioimpedance body composition and hydration wearable from scratch, with >80% unit test and >50% UI test coverage from day one. Engineered the BLE communication stack between band and app: device pairing, real-time data transmission, firmware updates, battery monitoring and error-resilient syncing, all critical to measurement accuracy. Delivered the Apple Watch companion with deep HealthKit integration. Led iOS through the CES 2019 launch, shipping rapid OTA updates and resolving live issues on the show floor to keep demos running.
Aug 2017 — May 2018
Senior/Lead iOS Engineer
Motorsport.com
Built out a new mobile team and shipped three applications from scratch: a tvOS app for motorsport content (Formula 1, MotoGP, NASCAR) built directly with the CEO and CTO, a new flagship iOS app covering news, live results, photos, video and race hubs, and a native Swift rewrite of a legacy React Native app. Mentored the whole mobile team through a rapid growth phase, moving several junior engineers to mid-level. Established the engineering processes from nothing: PR workflow, review standards, CI/CD, automated testing, release management and App Store submission.
Oct 2016 — Sep 2018
Android Developer (side project)
CARKEYST
Built an Android app in Java for automotive locksmiths and mechanics, communicating with vehicle diagnostic hardware over BLE and CAN bus via OBD interfaces (ELM327-compatible adapters). Applied clean architecture principles — separation of concerns, modular layers, dependency inversion — for a testable, maintainable codebase. Real-time hardware and embedded systems integration work that fed directly into later BLE projects on iOS.
Sep 2014 — Aug 2017
iOS Developer
IC Realtime
Surveillance hardware manufacturer. Shipped three iOS applications from scratch: a parent-facing school monitoring app with real-time access to campus camera feeds, a companion app for the company's proprietary dual-lens 360° panoramic camera, and a unified management app aggregating live feeds from DVRs, NVRs and IP cameras. Implemented video rendering in OpenGL ES (pre-Metal) for low-latency playback of live streams, and built BLE protocols for device pairing, configuration and real-time camera control. Introduced the team's first structured engineering practices.
Jan 2014 — Jun 2016
Freelance iOS Developer
Upwork
Contract iOS work across a range of clients and problem domains, taken on alongside full-time roles. Delivering directly to clients — scoping work, setting expectations, managing deadlines and handling the commercial side without a project manager in between — built the professional habits that carried into later senior and lead positions.
Nov 2013 — Oct 2014
iOS Developer
TundraMobile
First professional iOS role. Built several apps from scratch and maintained the company's existing portfolio, learning production development in a working team.
